The Cortile Umberto I B&B is situated in the heart of the old part of the town, inside an ancient and characteristic 18th century building, formerly owned by the noble family “Turrisi”. You will be immediately struck by the imposing entrance portal and by the flowery staircase, which conquers every traveler. The B&B is located on the second floor and is accessible by comfortable stairs, there is no elevator. We are ready to welcome you into a special environment designed to combine tradition and modernity : the modern furnishings blend with the beauty of the handmade Sicilian majolica tiles, created by the local artisans of “Cotto Meli”.

Situated within walking distance from Piazza Duomo, the Cortile Umberto I B&B boasts a prestigious position in the heart of Cefalù. All major points of interest can be reached on foot in a few minutes, as well as the best shops and restaurants. Among the main attractions, we can mention: the Romanesque Cathedral with Byzantine features, which became part of the Unesco heritage in 2015; the Mandralisca museum which houses the famous painting “Ritratto D’Ignoto Marinaio” by Antonello Da Messina; the medieval wash-tub with its particular lava stone staircase; “La Rocca” which overhangs and protects the town and from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the old town and the sea; the temple of Diana, a megalithic structure dating back to the 9th century b.c. ; The Madonie Regional Natural Park.

Breakfast

You will start your day in the best way with relaxing, light piped music . Your palate will enjoy the taste of fresh bread, butter, marmalades and jams, honey, cereals, seasonal fruit, exquisite cakes and freshly baked croissants . Those who prefer a continental breakfast instead, will find in the salty corner some cured meat, cheeses and typical Sicilian products.

The convenience of staying a few steps away from Piazza Duomo, inevitably means having to give up the convenience of parking under the Cortile Umberto I. However the strategic position of the B&B, out of the limited traffic zone, allows you to reach the structure by car and to enter the palace courtyard in order to comfortably check- in and leave and collect your luggage . About 250 meters away from the b & b there are two parking possibilities: free parking in the street; private and guarded parking. If you arrive by train you can easily reach us by foot in 5 minutes: the train station is only 400 meters away.

Check-in from 12:00 to 19:00 As the reception service is limited, it is necessary to communicate the arrival time at least a day before arrival, by phone : +393276966300 or email : [email protected] .

Check-in after the scheduled time must be agreed and have an extra cost of 30 euro.

Check-out from 8:00 to 10:30 If the room is not vacated by the scheduled time, unless previously agreed with the direction, the entire stay for the day will be charged. After the scheduled check-out time, it is still possible to use the common areas with the possibility to leave your luggage in custody at the b&b.
